Blondie's Painting is a Kitsilano-based residential home painting business serving the Vancouver Area. With 9 years experience painting both residential and commercial projects, owner Miranda Jacobsen has the skills and knowledge needed to beautify and protect your home. Whatever size your interior or exterior painting project is, Blondie's professional painters will get the job done right the first time.
At Blondie's Painting, we love painting the interior of your house! Before painting your interior, we will cover floors and your belongings with drop sheets and plastic where required. We remove and replace faceplates from your electrical sockets, fill holes and knicks in your walls, and remove and replace caulking where required. It is important that the paint is applied to a clean surface, so a TSP wash may be required, especially in areas such as the kitchen or washroom.
Once your interior is fully prepared for painting, we typically apply 2 coats of top of the line ICI LifeMaster Paint. We choose to use LifeMaster because it is Low VOC, which means it is better for the environment and has little to no odour. It also has a teflon additive, which makes it more durable than many paints on the market. If you have a preferred brand of paint, please let us know during the estimate and we will gladly use this instead.
When painting exteriors, asthetics are important, but the most important part of the job is the prep work that happens before painting. Failing paint must be removed, dirty surfaces must be cleaned and bare wood or metal must be primed and sealed. Our typical process in preparing the exterior of your home for painting may include pressure washing, scraping loose and failing paint, sanding edges smooth, removing and replacing failing caulking, and priming areas where that require it. We use drop sheets in all areas to protect the ground below. Only after your home is fully prepared, we typically apply two coats of a top of the line exterior product, such as Flood Solid Hide Stain.
All of our staff are fully trained on safety requirements on the job. We have weekly safety meetings to remind staff of the important details. And we give you peace of mind with with 2 million of liability insurance and WorkSafeBC coverage.
